See Everything. Miss Nothing.

Modern CCTV Solutions

CCTV is one of the most powerful deterrents and evidence-gathering tools available. Ajax is our preferred platform for every site, whatever its size: Ajax cameras, MotionCam detectors and the Ajax NVR, so your alarm, CCTV and access control all live in one app. We also support existing systems from other manufacturers — Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, Avigilon, VideoEdge, Exacqvision and others — with maintenance, service plans and takeovers.

All installations are designed in compliance with the ICO CCTV Code of Practice and UK GDPR requirements.

Every Prism CCTV installation includes:

  • Free site survey and camera placement plan
  • Ajax-integrated MotionCam or dedicated IP cameras
  • Professional cabling infrastructure
  • NVR/cloud recorder configuration
  • Remote viewing app setup
  • GDPR-compliant signage recommendations
  • Full handover training for all users
  • Ongoing maintenance and health-check services

Ajax Integration

Photo Verification — See the Alarm Before You Respond

Ajax’s MotionCam detector captures a series of photos the moment it detects motion, before the alarm even sounds — allowing operators to visually confirm whether an intrusion is genuine before dispatching the police.

  • Photos sent within seconds of motion detection
  • Instant push notification with image to app
  • Visual confirmation before police dispatch
  • Reduces false alarm call-outs and associated costs
  • Encrypted transmission, private and secure
1
Motion Detected

MotionCam detects movement and begins capturing a burst of images immediately.

2
Images Sent Instantly

Photos are encrypted and transmitted to the Ajax app and monitoring centre within seconds.

3
Verified Response

Operator views the images, confirms genuine intrusion, and dispatches appropriate response.

Camera Options

The Right Camera for Every Location

Ajax MotionCam

A PIR detector that captures photo sequences on motion, functioning as both an alarm sensor and a camera. Fully wireless and encrypted.

Dome Cameras

Vandal-resistant dome cameras for indoor use in retail, offices and corridors. Their discreet design conceals the direction of the lens.

Bullet Cameras

Long-range varifocal bullet cameras for external perimeter coverage, car parks and site entrances.

PTZ Cameras

Pan-tilt-zoom cameras for large areas: car parks, open spaces and remote-monitored sites.

ANPR Cameras

Automatic Number Plate Recognition for industrial sites, car parks, gated communities and logistics hubs.

Cloud & NVR Recording

On-site NVR with local storage, cloud recording for off-site backup, or a hybrid of both.

CCTV & UK GDPR Compliance

If your CCTV captures images of individuals in public spaces or shared areas, you have obligations under UK GDPR and the ICO's Surveillance Camera Code of Practice, including displaying signage, limiting retention periods and responding to Subject Access Requests.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Ajax CCTV integrate with the alarm system?
Ajax cameras connect to the same Hub as your intruder alarm. When an alarm activates, the hub can automatically trigger photo capture and send verified images to the Ajax app and monitoring centre within seconds.
Do I need separate apps for CCTV and my alarm?
Not with an Ajax system. Intruder alarms, CCTV cameras and access control all operate through the same Ajax Security app, on iOS or Android.
How long should CCTV footage be retained?
The ICO recommends footage should not be retained longer than necessary. 28 to 31 days is standard and proportionate for most commercial and residential applications.
Do I need to register my CCTV with the ICO?
If your cameras capture images of people in public areas or of employees, you are likely required to register as a data controller with the ICO and pay the data protection fee.
What is the best CCTV system for a small business?
An Ajax system: MotionCam detectors and Ajax cameras on the Ajax hub, with the Ajax NVR where continuous recording is needed. It is what we recommend at any size, because it scales from a single shop to a multi-site estate without changing platform, and the alarm, cameras and access control stay in one app. If you already have cameras from another manufacturer, we can support those too.
